Sugar Process Chemicals

Cane sugar processing consists of the following steps: sugar cane is crushed, the juice is heated and filtered, then sent to a series of crystallization steps to create crystals of raw sugar, followed by centrifugation to remove any remaining juice or syrup.

Sugar is manufactured in the Sugar Mill. The sugar process involves number of sugar process chemicals. AMPHITRITE INDUSTRIES provides range of products for different application like to minimize micro-organism growth in mill section for mill sanitation process, to control dextran levels in the juice by reducing dextran releasing bacteria, to remove non-sugar part in door clarifier as mud (sludge), to remove organic and inorganic colouring matters like lignin, pectin, etc., to reduce viscosity in the pan, and phosphoric acid replacement

Sugar process Chemicals

One of the most commonly used chemicals in sugar production is lime, which is added during the purification stage to help neutralize organic acids and remove impurities from the juice. To prevent the sugar from crystallizing too early, anti-caking agents such as magnesium carbonate or calcium carbonate may be added to the mixture. Activated carbon is also used to absorb any residual impurities or color.

Sustainable Chemicals

Sustainable sugar process chemicals are designed to minimize waste, reduce energy consumption, and protect the environment while maintaining the quality and safety of the final product.

Enzymes can be used to break down and convert sugars more efficiently, reducing the amount of energy and water required for production, use of biodegradable cleaning agents and sanitizers in the production facilities.
